Hybrid Project
Edmundshof

Evergy provided technical consulting services and engineering support for the hybridization of an existing Wind Farm by connecting 31 MWp of PV capacity to the same point of connection.

Located in Austria, the Edmundshof PV plant was still under construction at the time of the mandate. The integration was carried out without increasing the contracted grid capacity, resulting in a shared connection between the wind farm and the PV plant. Evergy supported the project throughout all stages — from early development to commissioning — ensuring optimal design and grid compatibility.

The services of Evergy comprised in particular:

  • Feasibility study of the PV integration
  • Optimization and sizing of the PV Plant's capacity
  • Engineering support for integration into the wind farm’s grid infrastructure
  • Energy yield assessment considering grid limitations and operational constraints
  • Management of EPC tender process and selection of preferred bidder
  • Assistance in preparation of contract documentation

A floating solar park Uivermeertjes has impressed me the most. It’s one of the biggest floating PV parks in Europe and I was there to make the inspection. Floating solar farms are technically challenging and allow to save area on dry land.
